Hidden attractions in Berlin

The German capital Berlin is a wonderful holiday destination and among the top places in Europe for historical sightseeing, walking tours and clubbing. Thus, may be you are already looking for the best of the apartments in Berlin to suit your needs and to correspond to your budget. It is an interesting fact that the city has been completely destroyed during the Second World War to be rebuilt years later and to turn into this modern and cosmopolitan city as we know it today. There is plenty to be seen in Berlin, including museums and art galleries, castles, pubs and night clubs. The main landmarks of the city, as well as the best parks are known to everybody, however the city has some lovely hidden places and attractions that are worth to be visited as well, once you find out which are they by reading the information below. May be if you are coming here for the first time or if you have not many days in the German capital, you will not have time to visit these places. But if you happen to have time, check them out and you will not regret.

Galerie im Körnerpark

Among the hidden gems of Berlin are to be placed several attractions that deserve the tourists’ attention and these include the Kornerpark Galerie. This place is among the most beautiful green places in the city, where the gallery keeps the work of many artists from Germany and abroad. Here are often organized many free concerts during the summer months. Another place that could be ranked among the hidden attractions of Berlin is the Dicke Marie, which is the oldest tree in the city that existed even when the city itself did not exist. The oak is approximately 26 meters high and its trunk is 7 meters in circumference. People believe that the tree is more than 900 years old. It is definitely a site to be seen and is great for making photos.

Of course, one should also not miss the Wax Museum of Madame Tussauds in Berlin, which is the local option of the famous museum in London. There one could see wax statues of famous world stars, but also some German figures like for example Adolf Hitler and Boris Becker. As one can expect there are also many Hollywood celebrities there and so much more. The Wax Museum of Madame Tussauds in Berlin works every day from 10 am until 6 pm. The entry ticket tough is not cheap, but the pictures you will make will be absolutely great. The last place from our hidden attractions list in Berlin is the grave of Henriette Vogel and Heinrich Kleist, a famous writer. The story is a bit sad. This was a couple in love that had problems. They went on a nice little garden, where they had picnic with wine, which ended as the boy killed the girl and then shot himself too. Besides these hidden attractions, there are many that could be seen in Berlin and which make the place worth visited.
